Description
This is an adorable old /nearly antique Steiff mohair sitting bloodhound dog Treff, circa 1928-38 I believe.  Very hard to find if not rare.
He's a very sweet looking dog and beautifully modeled in his back hips and head having captured the bloodhound jowls and eyes so well.   Head turns.  No id present but guaranteed to be a Steiff.   There is an old ribbon around his neck, not sure if it is original or not.  Light tan mohair with airbrushed highlites, long hound ears, jointed head, eyes are set into eye pockets, hand threaded nose and paw threads (3 per paw - all present) and cute tail.
In very good pre-owned vintage/antique condition.  The mohair is thinning somewhat, light amount of blading for his age, modest play wear really, no obvious nibbles in the fur that I see.  He still displays so well, such a charmer !   Sits great, turns head nicely and overall appears eager to please :)   I have given many pics so please view them all.  Remember the detail pics appear very close up and may be larger than reality, so I always think the actual item looks better than my pics.  This is just a lovely old Steiff !
Measures approx. 15cm tall, or 6-1/4" tall x 7" long including the tail.   Steiff Sortiment lists the sizes 7, 10, 14, 17, 22, 28, 35, 43 and 50 cm from 1928-1938 so he is just a bit over the 14cm size.

Shipping
INSURANCE & DELIVERY CONFIRMATION (or Signature if over 0.00) is INCLUDED in the shipping & handling fee. Some items ship for a flat rate 1st class fee.  Otherwise see shipping calculator above for shipping cost to your zipcode, Priority or Parcel are options, which you choose at checkout.  I charge a small handling fee to cover or in most cases just help to defray the cost of packing supplies so that your item will arrive safely.   USPS Parcel shipping cost may be lower than Priority but PARCEL IS SLOWER THAN PRIORITY, it can take up to 2 weeks (10 business days) for delivery in some cases.  Shipping & handling costs is buyers responsibility.
